Accessibility Statement

Home8 aims for full digital accessibility in accordance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

Conformance status

This website is designed to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA. We also follow the European standard EN 301 549.

What we do

Semantic HTML structure with proper landmarks (header, main, nav, footer)
Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text — AA level)
Full keyboard navigation with visible focus indicators
Skip-to-content link for quick navigation
ARIA labels on all interactive elements
Language switcher and navigation with proper ARIA attributes
Four language versions: English, Dutch, French, and German
No auto-playing media or flashing content
Forms with associated labels and error messages

Known limitations

The screen designer (canvas editor) relies on drag-and-drop interaction which may be difficult with assistive technologies. We are working on keyboard alternatives. If you encounter an accessibility issue, please let us know.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can file a complaint with the competent authority. In Belgium: the FPS Economy (federal), the Department of Mobility and Public Works (Flanders), or the equivalent authority in Wallonia or Brussels.
